yes, that's right. it's been edited a bit, to fix some things that i was never happy with, but my most popular drawing is back. digitally remastered with new 5.1 digital surround sound. and, if you look close, you'll see jarjar waving in the background.
curt convinced me that i should go ahead and buy a daprints account. so i went ahead and did. go figure. hopefully this will be for sale when i'm all done and stuff.
it probably isn't worth telling, but i will anyways. a lot of people said they thought there was some alphonse mucha influence in this piece, but when i made it, i had never heard of the guy. now, however, i wish he actually would have had an influence, because his stuff is amazing. ... obviously.
... okay, I won't bring up the Mucha influence then...
... I love how you used a sepia line with flat tones (I think that's where viewers are seeing the similarities), it has such a warm, natural resonance to it and softens the edges more than a black line could ever do...
... okay-- did you ever think to use earthtones in the top-n-bottom bands, maybe a gold or a mahogany instead of a brilliant sea green? ... I'm thinking the color change (possibly even a powder blue to match her shirt) would tie up the composition a lot better...
... gotta fave this, it's gorgeous...

It's beautiful, that's for sure...& I can definitely see why people compare it to Mucha, but I feel her eye's are a tiny bit off. One of them needs adjusting so they're aligned. To me it looks like the upper lid of the left eye needs bringing down a little...maybe the fact that the reflections are quite different enhances that feeling of the eyes being slightly askew.
This is so absolutely amazing... the coloring is the best I have seen in a long while, almost reminds me of the stuff they used in promoting GTA San Andreas. Cept better. I mean... just look at that hair!!! Look at it! It's the hair of... of a god! It's just that good. x_X
