These are all the cards i drew for the Lord of the Rings: Masterpieces II card set. You can see my own personal artistic growth on this page. start up left and move down and right. the last three cards i just finished a few minutes ago.

... i dunno... i like em. lots of different mediums. pencil, microns, prismacolor markers, dr martin's india ink, fw acrylic white. i think there might even be a little blood sweat and tears in there. hope you guys like em. now it's time to dive into the marvel universe... and maybe even something a little more... adventurous.

Murphy was right.

He was bastard.

But he was right. :P
wow that's really awesome, how you can really see your skill increase with each card, its a very nice display of your imporovement, as well as it being a great set of illustrations.

"You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villian" - Harvey Dent, 'The Dark Knight'
Oh my goodness, these are amazing. I've just been staring and staring...each one is delightful in its own way. This is definitely a favorite.

"A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to stay sharp. That's why I read so much, Jon Snow."

---Tyrion Lannister, from George R. R. Martin's A Game of Thrones
You have done a very good job on these, even though some of these are really simple they all convey the character very good as well as giving away their characteristics... And you have grown very much - keep up the great work! :)

"I've got rats up my pipes."
Great job. How long do these generally take you?
they take anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour. the earlier sketches were quick, but i think the treebeard at the end took me about an hour and a half.

Sweet work sir, I like how you're trying out different styles and dont play safe the whole time.
the top right most Gandalf one looks most real to me, as well as... DARNIT. I forgot his name, but the Uruk-Hai leader... he looks amazing too.

Some of these I can tell where they were just beginning, your talent grew immensely with these. I love them.
